風間 八宏Yahiro Kazama
サッカー指導者FIFAワールドユース選手権（現U-20W杯）に、高校生ながら日本ユース代表として全試合出場。筑波大学在学中に日本代表に選ばれ、卒業後ドイツのレバークーゼン、レムシャイトなどで5年間プレーを続けた。
帰国後、サンフレッチェ広島で主将としてプレー。日本人選手Jリーグ初ゴールを記録。現役引退後は解説者として活躍する傍ら、桐蔭横浜大学サッカー部、筑波大学蹴球部監督を務め、2012年からはJリーグ川崎フロンターレ監督、2017年から名古屋グランパス監督を歴任。2021年にセレッソ大阪アカデミー技術委員長に就任し、2024年より南葛SC監督兼テクニカルダイレクターを務める。
サッカークラブ「トラウムトレーニング」や小学生から大学生が一緒にトレーニングをする「スペシャルトレーニング」を各地で展開するなど、選手の育成にも力を注いでいる。
Yahiro Kazama represented Japan at the FIFA World Youth Championship (now the FIFA U-20 World Cup) while still a high school student, appearing in every match for the national youth team.
While studying at the University of Tsukuba, he was called up to the Japan National Team. After graduating, he spent five years playing professionally in Germany, with stints at Bayer 04 Leverkusen, FC Remscheid, and Eintracht Braunschweig.
Upon returning to Japan, Kazama played for and captained Sanfrecce Hiroshima. He holds the distinction of scoring the first-ever goal by a Japanese player in J.League history.
After retiring as a player, he worked as a football commentator while pursuing a coaching career. He served as head coach of the football teams at the Toin University of Yokohama and the University of Tsukuba. In 2012, he was appointed manager of Kawasaki Frontale, and in 2017 became manager of Nagoya Grampus. In 2021, he was appointed Technical Director of the Academy at Cerezo Osaka. Since 2024, he has served as Head Coach and Technical Director of Nankatsu SC—a club owned by Yoichi Takahashi, the creator of the globally acclaimed manga series Captain Tsubasa.
Throughout his managerial career, he has been widely known for implementing a highly offensive, entertaining brand of football that continues to captivate fans and spectators alike.
Kazama is also deeply committed to player development. He leads TRAUM TRAINING, a dedicated youth academy, and conducts Special Training sessions throughout Japan, where players ranging from elementary school to university level train together. Through these initiatives, he continues to develop players and share his football philosophy with future generations.
